Type of School

The school offers both Day and Boarding options with Co-Education. Boarding is encouraged due to its academic discipline benefits.

Enrollment of Pupils

Open to children of all races, color, and creed.

  • Kindergarten: Ages 3–4
  • Pre-Primary: Ages 4–5
  • Primary (Standard I–VII): Ages 5–14

Curriculum

Uses the national curriculum provided by the National Curriculum Development Institute. Religious education is mandatory from Standard I to VII.

Teaching Staff

Qualified teachers from Certificate to Bachelor’s Degree level. All staff are recruited through rigorous evaluations.

Parent-Teacher Consultation Day

Held at the end of every term, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Parents meet teachers to discuss their child’s progress.

Visiting Day

Organized each term for parents of boarding pupils, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Parents can bring snacks, drinks, and food.

In Geita, Cambridgeshire Ridges Pre & Primary School continues the same legacy of excellence. We are proud of our students’ performance in national exams—ranking among the top in the Kigoma region and nationally in both 2022 and 2023 NECTA results. Our professional teaching staff is committed to continuous development and upholding high standards of teaching and care. Admissions are open year-round, with an entry exam for the 2025 academic year scheduled for 16 December 2024. Our Daycare in Kigoma offers a joyful and nurturing environment where toddlers take their first steps into learning through play and guided activities. The Pre & Primary Day School in Kigoma emphasizes academic excellence and moral development, encouraging creativity, curiosity, and collaboration in every learner. Meanwhile, our Pre & Primary Boarding and Day School in Geita provides a structured, supportive environment where both day and boarding students benefit from care, guided study sessions, and healthy daily routines. Academically, our schools follow the Tanzanian national curriculum, enhanced with modern teaching approaches that prioritize curiosity, confidence, and effective communication.
Our students consistently achieve strong results in national assessments. To support families, we offer safe and supervised transport services in both Kigoma and Geita (excluding daycare learners), as well as daily nutritious meals prepared under strict hygiene standards, with special dietary needs considered in collaboration with parents. Student health and safety are top priorities, with first aid, regular checkups, and hygiene protocols in place; our boarding facilities are also equipped with a health care room and access to local clinics. Learners thrive in clean, stimulating classrooms complemented by outdoor play and activity areas that support both academic and physical development.
